Isabella begged for a puppy for Christmas and although we didn't feel ready we couldn't deny her her only wish. We picked out the puppy a week before Christmas and brought her home Christmas Eve after the kids' went to bed. She was really good as long as she was right next to me. She even slept in our bed so that she wouldn't be seen or heard. At 6:00 am the kids were ready for presents (except for Chandler, of course, he wanted to sleep.) I put a big green bow on her head and she followed me out to the living room. The looks on the kids' faces were priceless.
I always wanted a black lab puppy for Christmas growing up. Every year I was convinced it was the year I would get one. Sigh.
